(December 4, 2016) — Five Erath County area team ropers combined to win about $46,000 in Round 3 of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo Saturday night and are getting ready for Round 4 Sunday in Las Vegas.

Stephenville header Luke Brown and his partner, Morgan Mill heeler Jake Long, remain atop the team roping world standings, with Stephenville header Kaleb Driggers and Burleson heeler Junior Nogueira and others in hot pursuit.

Morgan Mill heeler Dakota Kirchenschlager was third in 4.7 seconds Saturday, winning more than $15,000 two months after losing a thumb roping.

Stephenville High School graduate and local business owner Jacobs Crawley has seen his big lead atop the saddle bronc riding world standings narrow, but the reigning world champ remains alive in the average with seven rounds to go.
