STEPHENVILLE (January 14, 2017) — No. 13 Tarleton State (15-2) coasted to a 111-63 win over Arlington Baptist College (8-9) Saturday, handing 29-year head coach Lonn Reisman his 400th victory in Wisdom Gym.

Reisman and the Texans improved to 10-1 at home this season, 111-8 since the start of the 2010-11 season, 255-28 since the beginning of 2000-01 and 400-65 in his career. His home win percentage is .860.

“I’ve been blessed to have a very long career here and been blessed to have a great deal of success, and a lot of that is because I’ve had great players, great assistant coaches and a great university supporting this program and supporting me for a long time,” said Reisman, the winningest college coach in Texas with 628 victories in his career. “It’s been a lot of work put in by a lot of people over many years, and I’m just blessed that it’s all led to this.”

Tracy Guy hit a left corner 3 at the buzzer to give Reisman his first Tarleton win, 72-71 over University of Mary-Hardin Baylor on November 8, 1988. That was 28 years, 77 days ago.

Win No. 400 in in Wisdom Gym wasn’t nearly as dramatic.

The Texans shot 54 percent and out-rebounded Arlington Baptist, 50-25, while turning the ball over only eight times, and as those numbers indicate, it was never close. Five Texans scored in double figures – Ridell Camidge with 22, Josh Hawley a career-high 18 off the bench, Chantz Chambers 14, Anthony Davis 13 and Romond Jenkins 12 along with 13 boards for his ninth double-double.

Tarleton shot 56 percent in the first half and had four players in double figures by intermission, when it was 60-29.

The victory came in a one-game hiatus from competition in the rugged and parity-filled Lone Star Conference, where the Texans are tied for first with Thursday’s home opponent, West Texas A&M. The good news for Tarleton is that game, too, is in the building named for W.J. Wisdom.

Win No. 100 for Reisman here came on November 30, 1996, a 66-56 defeat of McMurry. No. 200 was 75-64 over Central Oklahoma on January 29, 2004, and No. 300 was 69-66 over Incarnate Word on January 19, 2011.
