“I’m very thankful for our coaching staff and their families for putting up with the long hours and many miles they’ve traveled over the last few months,” said head coach Todd Whitten. “Our coaching staff has put in many hours and I believe that we’ve brought in a quality group of kids who can help this team win football games.

“We really think this class of kids can be a great addition to our program,” he continued. “They are quality students on the field and in the classroom and, most importantly, they could fill some areas of need for our football team.”

Tyler Junior College:
Competed two seasons for Tyler Junior College … First-team All-America … First-team All-Conference … As a sophomore, went for 1,396 receiving yards on 77 receptions with 16 touchdowns … Signed with the University of New Mexico our of high school.

 Skyline High School:
Lettered three years at Dallas Skyline and was a team captain for head coach Reginald Samples … First-team All-District … Second-team All-State as a senior … As a junior, his team advanced to the state semifinals with a record of 15-1 … During his team’s run to the state semifinals, he totaled 66 receptions for 952 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns.

Personal:
Is a 2015 graduate of Dallas Skyline High School … Son of Latoya Guinyard and Branton Kidd and father, Kenneth Rollison … Has three siblings: Jayvon, Give’Neshia, and Brantona … Majoring in Kinesiology … Born Sept. 13 … Full name is Savon D.L. Rollison.


Cody Mitchell

Signed with Florida A&M University out of high school … Lettered three seasons in football for head coach Brent Wilkerson … Was a first-team All-District and team’s Most Improved Player … Team MVP as a junior and senior during undefeated seasons … Also lettered four years and was a team captain in basketball … Lettered two seasons in baseball.

Adrian Berryman

Trinity Valley Community College:
Played two seasons for Trinity Valley CC … Played in 19 games over the last two seasons … Totaled 1,061 yards in his career, including 788 yards as a sophomore last season which ranked him No. 6 in the region … Recorded 139 carries in his career and 14 touchdowns … Was a second-team All-SWJC selection last season after rushing 102 times for 788 yards and 12 touchdowns in his final season … Had three 100-yard rushing performances, including a career high 141 yards on nine carries and two touchdowns against Navarro on Sept. 3, 2016.

Gainesville High School:
Lettered four years and was a team captain for head coach Keith Hall … Earned first-team All-District honors in three straight seasons … Was an All-State honoree in 2013 and was named the District MVP as a senior in 2014.

Thomas Warren

Played one season at Pima CC in 2015 after spending the 2013 year at New Mexico State as a true freshman … Played in nine games and recorded 56 tackles at PCC … Also had a 0.5 sack, 2.5 tackles for a loss, and two pass breakups.

Lettered three years in football and was a team captain for head coach Norris Vaughan … Also competed in basketball and lettered one season in track, where he ran the 100m and 400m.

Led his team with 1,155 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns as a junior to lead SDHS to its first state championship.

Javon Chambers
OL | 5-11 | 295 | McAllen | Belton HS

Belton High School:
Three-year starter on the offensive line for head coach Sam Skidmore, an alumnus of Tarleton State University … Two-time first-team All-District selection … Second-team All-District as a sophomore … Also competes in powerlifting, where he was named All-Area and finished in the top 10 at the state meet last year.


J.R. Fullen

Eastland High School:
