DUBLIN (February 10, 2017) — Three days after suffering an upset loss – its first in 6-3A – Dublin quickly announced with authority that would not be repeating itself Friday.

The Lions were on top 9-2 after just 90 seconds and it quickly escalated from there. It was 26-9 after a quarter and 57-25 at halftime. Dublin went ice cold for a spell in the third quarter, but it didn’t matter. The Lions worked out of a four-corners offense throughout the fourth.

When the dust settled it was 92-55, setting the stage for a district championship game at Coleman on Tuesday. Coleman defeated Brady, 51-40, Friday evening, meaning Dublin and Coleman each enter the regular season finale with one district loss. Tipoff Tuesday is set for 6:30 p.m.

Brady Moore poured in 29 points to lead the Lions, who had three other double-digit scorers. Race Jackson netted 19 points, Josh Hanes 13 and Gabe Garcia 13. Rounding out the scorebook were Brayden Burleson with six, Trask Brown five, Elton Galbreath three, Jeremiah Martinez two and JP Garcia two.
