Dubliner Ethan Price is set to compete in the state powerlifting meet after lifting a qualifying total of 1,550 pounds in the 275-pound class at the Region II-Division III championship meet at West High School Saturday.
Price set the regional record on the bench press, lifting 450 pounds and earning the heavyweight outstanding bench press award. He placed third overall in the competition.
Jacob Riley finished fourth in the 165-pound division with a total of 1,160 pounds, while Bryce Leatherwood finished seventh in the 114s by lifting 585 and Isaiah Nicx finished 10th in the 132s at 815.
The state meet is set for Saturday, March 25, at Taylor County Expo Center.
