(March 20, 2017) — There will be no changes on the school board rosters of Stephenville or Dublin ISDs.

Stephenville ISD officially voted to cancel its school board election Monday evening, and the same measure was on the agenda for Dublin ISD, which met later.

Stephenville ISD trustees Ed Dittfurth and Cole Gilliam Parks filed for re-election and no one filed to run against them. The same went for Dublin ISD trustees Bill Rodriguez, appointed to fill the unexpired term of Mike Jurney, and Kent Crouch.

Dublin ISD is, however, moving forward with its third attempt to have voters approve a facilities bond on the November ballot. The current decision facing voters is for a bond totaling $10.8 million.

Stephenville ISD discussed the establishment of a facilities committee and the benefits of a community survey concerning school facilities Monday, but the discussion was during the monthly superintendent’s report and was not an action item.
