Charles L. Chambers, 79, of DeLeon, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 in Stephenville.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 30th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Werth Mayes officiating. Burial will follow at Baggett Creek Cemetery in Comanche County. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday at Stephenville Funeral Home.
Charles was born on June 13, 1937 in McCullough County, to the late Ben and Pauline Behrens Chambers. He was first married to Audrey Ann Cavitt, and later to Anna Lucille Stubblefield, who preceded him in death on May 27, 2015. Charles was a farmer, rancher, and dairyman; and worked several years at General Dynamics. He was a lifelong resident of Comanche and Erath Counties.
Charles is survived by his daughters, Charlene Chambers and husband David Ramos of Granbury, and Deedee Chambers and husband Camon Martin of Comanche; sons, Gene and wife Sandra Chambers of Lingleville, and Mark and wife Paula Bailey of Azle; grandchildren, John David Ramos, Jeremy Ramos, Emily McNew, Chet Allen Chambers, Quenton Chambers, and Ty Bailey; and eleven great grandchildren; brother, John Wooten; and sister, Linda Marovich; and cousin, Glenn Wooten
