Tarleton’s Wild sits five strokes back at nationals

FINDLAY, OHIO – Casey Wild continues to climb up the leaderboard as she’s moved to fifth heading to the final round of the NCAA Division II Championship at the Findlay Country Club.

Wild carded a third-round score of 77 (+5) and is five strokes off the lead, trailing Ann Parmerter (Dallas Baptist) and Marie Coors (St. Leo) who are +8 overall. Wild has rounds of 75-77-77 for a score of 229 (+13). The Lone Star Conference Player of the Year has moved up on the individual standings all three rounds, going from eighth to sixth and now fith.

Wild had one birdie in the round, which came on the fifth hole, a par 4. The junior from Australia had six bogeys and 11 pars in the round. Wild shot +2 on the front nine and +3 on the back nine. Overall, Wild has 32 pars and five birdies.

Wild will tee off in the final round of the championships on Saturday, May 20 at 8:40 a.m. ET.
