STEPHENVILLE (June 15, 2017) — More than 150 Stephenville High School and Henderson Junior High athletes participated in the first of six Yoga sessions as part of their summer conditioning Thursday at Gandy Gym. Kerri Tomaski, owner of the local Soul Feet Studios, is training the athletes in the practice native of ancient India to increase mindfulness while lengthening and softening muscles, just a few of the advantages sports teams such as the Seattle Seahawks and the Stanford University Cardinal have enjoyed since implementing yoga in their training regimen. The yoga sessions are at SHS each Thursday from 9-10:30 a.m. throughout the summer conditioning program, which just completed its first of six weeks with a break in the middle for the week of the Fourth of July.
