STEPHENVILLE (June 19, 2017) — Only 15 of 150 pre-registration spots remain for the fourth annual Cody Davis Student of the Game Football Camp presented by Bruner Auto Family. The camp is free to all students – not just in Stephenville – entering grades 1-6 from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Stephenville High School.
Online pre-registration closes Wednesday, and can easily be completed and submitted by following prompts from the event webpage here. Walk-up registration will be available on Saturday, but only those who pre-registered are guaranteed a camp T-shirt and other items.
Davis, a fifth-year defensive back with the Los Angeles Rams, was a two-time all-state defensive back at Stephenville, graduating in 2008 after helping the Yellow Jackets to the 4A Division I semifinals in 2005 and to No. 1 in the Associated Press 4A poll for several weeks in 2007. He went on to play for Texas Tech, and signed with the Rams, then in St. Louis, as an undrafted free agent in 2013.
Davis made the first three starts of his career last season and has seen action in 58 total games the past four years. Following each, he has returned home for the free camp, featuring instruction from Davis along with friends and past teammates who have become coaches, as well as coaches from Stephenville and other area schools.
