Obituary for Frances Marlene Latham
Marlene graduated from Hico High School as Valedictorian of her class in 1947.
Marlene was a Registrar for the Austin Independent Schools District in Austin, Texas. She was an active member of the West Erwin Church of Christ in Tyler, Texas and was previously a member of the Hico Church of Christ in Hico, Texas as well as the University Avenue Church of Christ in Austin, Texas.
Marlene was preceded in death by her husband Garland Latham and her brother Jimmy Adams of Hamilton, Texas. Garland and Marlene were married 66 years prior to his death on February 26, 2014. She is survived by her children, Gary Latham and wife Sue Latham, and Karen Johnson and husband Noble Johnson; grandchildren, Jeff Latham and wife Arenda, Jennifer Dieter and husband Ben, Chris Johnson and wife Michelle and Charles Latham wife Leigh; great grandchildren, Lyssa Dieter, Katy Dieter, Laurel Johnson and Matilda Johnson. Marlene is also survived by her sister-in-law Anita Adams of Hamilton, Texas.
Service Information
The family will receive visitors from 12 noon – 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, at Harvest Hills Funeral Home, located at 118 Second Street in Hico. Chapel service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, at the Harvest Hills Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Hico Cemetery.
