Billy was born In Mineral Wells, Texas on April 30, 1940 to Willis Lee (Bill) and Modene Katherine Moore Glidewell. He was a husband, father, dairy farmer, rancher, milk truck driver and a friend to many.
He was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers, two sisters. Most important his wife in 2013 of 54 years Linda Lanelle Hopkins which he loved and missed dearly.
He is survived by four children. Carleton Dean and wife Shirleen of Hico, Texas. Susan Lanelle Novak and Steve of Seal Beach California. Nancy Glidewell Mathisen of Fort Worth, Texas and Beckie Catherine Rosenbaum and husband Curt of Coppers Cove, Texas. He is also survived by four grandchildren – Michael Mathisen Jr. of Dunwoody Georgia, Ashley Gabbard of Jacksonville Florida, Amy Sheehan of Austin Texas and Matthew Mathisen of Fort Worth Texas. He has two great-grandchildren, Jason and Jared Gabbard. Many other extended family members and lots of friends that he called family.

Service Information
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 21, at Harvest Hills Funeral Home in Hico.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, at Sturdivant Cemetery in Mineral Wells.
