“This is unreal. That’s a horse I’ve always wanted. You think about getting on the best bucking horses in the world and then you imagine them somewhere at a place like this, but that’s usually something you se before you go to bed at night. To have it really happen is just unreal,” said Champion as quoted in a press release on the official website of the Stampede, CalgaryStampede.com (for full release, CLICK HERE). “I’m surprised I didn’t throw up really. There’s no other bucking horse like him.”

Champion went first, second and third, then tied for fourth in Pool A at Calgary, earning a total of $114,833 for his first Stampede title.

Stephenville High School graduate and past Tarleton athlete Timber Moore pocketed $25,000 for placing second in 7.2 seconds in tie-down roping. He was followed in third by Stephenville’s Marty Yates won won $15,000 in 7.5.
