She lived in Hamilton County most of her life.  She graduated from Central Texas College in 1973 with an Associate degree in Nursing, and from Saint Joseph’s College in 1998 with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration.

She worked for 31 years as a Registered Nurse until she was forced to retire due to a medical disability.  She worked in Hico, Hamilton, Granbury, and DeLeon as a charge nurse, Assistant Director and a Director of Nurses.

Janice loved to travel, watch NBA basketball, listen to music by Vestal Goodman and Patsy Cline, attend church activities and write poetry.  She won several Golden Globe awards for her poetry.  She loved to cook and bake and give her baking away to others.  She received great joy in playing with her two precious grandson’s Alex and Nathan Bianchi and her two special nieces, Ella and Evie Till.   She was a long time member of Duffau Baptist Church.  She loved her church and church family, served on numerous committees over the years, and attended as long as her health permitted.  She lifted her personal and church family up daily in prayers.  She felt it was an honor and privilege to pray for someone.

She is survived by one son, Brandon David Bianchi and wife Cassandra Ann Bianchi, two grandsons Alexander Charles Bianchi and Nathaniel Aaron Bianchi, all of Waco, Texas.  Two cousins she grew up with as close as sisters, Ruth Heath and family from Stephenville, Texas, and Estelle Burns and family from Hamilton Texas.  Several cousins and many dear and precious friends.  Her best friend for over 43 years Linda Lindsey of Hico, Texas and special nephew Jonathan Lindsey of Greenville, Texas and special niece Kendra Till, husband Trevor Till and daughters Ella and Evie.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Duffau Baptist Church on Saturday, July 22, at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Duffau Baptist Church.
