STEPHENVILLE (July 27, 2017) – The 2017 TexStar Ford Summer Series continued on Thursday night with a couple of performances.  The opening act was once again Terri Hendrix with Lloyd Maines.  They have played Stephenville a time or two before earlier this summer and they were thrilled to be back.  And,

The opening act was Terri Hendrix with Lloyd Maines, who have both played Stephenville a time or two before. Their show was very entertaining.  At the conclusion of their performance, before Gene Watson and his band began, Lloyd and Terri presented TexStar Ford’s Doug Montgomery with an autographed guitar.

Then, Gene Watson and his band took the stage and played numerous hits from his career of just over 5 decades.  Some of the many hits included:  Fourteen Carat Mind, Got No Reason Now for Going Home, Carmen, and Love In The Hot Afternoon among many others.  Watson is 73 years old, but he still has a lot of energy on stage and the crowd really enjoyed hearing the numerous hit country songs that he made so popular.

Thanks to Doug Montgomery and TexStar Ford, SPARD, and the city of Stephenville for bringing this wonderful live music to Stephenville!
