Darlene McCoy, 75, of Stephenville, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at her residence. A graveside service will be held at Gardens of Memory Cemetery on Friday, August 11, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive visitors at Stephenville Funeral Home on Thursday, August 10, 2017, from 6:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Darlene was born on October 25, 1941 in Erath County to the late J.T and I.V. Young. She married the love of her life, Floyd McCoy on October 31, 1958 in Stephenville and together they raised four children. Darlene has resided all of her life in Erath County working at the Dublin Sewing Factory, home health and retired after working many years with Floyd on the dairy. She was a member of the Double N Cowboy Church of Dublin.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of almost 59 years, Floyd McCoy of Stephenville; children, Carla Forson and husband Randy of Stephenville, Steve McCoy and wife Lynette of Stephenville, and James McCoy of Stephenville; grandchildren, Amanda Forson, Angela Ngetich and husband Justus, Latasha Vosburg and husband Nolan, Eric McCoy, Joey Shelton and wife Bambi, Karl Shelton and wife Courtney, Jimmy McCoy and wife Lolly, Johnny McCoy, and Krystle Sprinkle; many great-grandchildren; brother, Wayland “Sunny” and wife Patricia Young of Stephenville; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Hill and husband Lenoard; and many nieces, nephews, and loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Cathy Shelton; and a sister, Wanda Dowell.
