The TexAnns will travel to Waco to take on Baylor on Oct. 31 for an exhibition game. Since Misty Wilson took over as head coach in 2014, the TexAnns have played Baylor twice and opened up against Texas last season.
For the regular season, Tarleton will play 28 games, including 14 home games at Wisdom Gym. The TexAnns open the season by hosting the TexAnn Tip-Off Classic and will play Western State Colorado on Nov. 10 and St. Mary’s on Nov. 11. The Tip-Off Classic is one of two tournaments the TexAnns will play in, with the other being the Best Western Premier Pioneer Classic, hosted by Texas Woman’s on Nov. 18-19. The TexAnns play Central Oklahoma and Regis in the TWU tournament.
The TexAnns begin Lone Star Conference play on the road this season as they travel to Midwestern State on Nov. 30. The first LSC home game for the TexAnns is against Western New Mexico on Dec. 7. All LSC games will take place on Thursdays and Saturdays again this season.
From Dec. 7-Jan. 6, the TexAnns play six of their next seven games at home, with four opponents being conference games. After that, however, eight of the next 10 games, from Jan. 9-Feb. 10, will be on the road for Tarleton with all of the games being LSC contests.
Tarleton closes the regular season out with four straight home games from Feb. 13-24 against Texas A&M-Commerce, Texas Woman’s, UT Permian Basin and West Texas A&M.
The TexAnns will look to defend their Lone Star Conference Championship Tournament title when the LSC postseason tournament takes place March 1-4 at Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco.
Tarleton is coming off a 16-14 campaign where they advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time under Wilson as head coach after winning the LSC tournament championship.
