HICO (September 2, 2017) — Stephenville FAITH has tried for years to get into the HIco Super Six-Man Saturday event at Tiger Stadium, and in the 14th annual festival known as “The Biggest Day for the Smallest Schools” the six-time state champions made their debut and proved they belong.
FAITH built a big lead by halftime and scored just after intermission to finish off Wanut Springs in a 59-8 blowout. It was the start to the season the Knights need, as they will likely have to compete in Division I of the Texas Association of Independent Athletic Organizations after winning a combined six straight state titles in Division II of TAIAO (the last two) and the Texas Christian Athletic League (TCAL, the first four).
The victory kicked off the eighth season of Knights football. They began their run of championships in just their second year.
