STEPHENVILLE (September 26, 2017) — The Stephenville Yellow Jackets (4-0) are undefeated at very near a spot in the Associated Press top 10.

Like this week’s opponent, the equally undefeated Graham Steers (4-0), the Jackets are receiving votes in the poll and no doubt the winner of Friday’s showdown at Graham will still some of the polling points going to the other.

A big part of the success for Stephenville has been the historic pace set by Krece Nowak to begin the season. The junior running back has 808 rushing yards and 996 yards of total offense entering this week, putting him on track to potentially become the school’s single-season and all-time rushing leader, according to records tracked by team historian Cody Derrick, and published on his website StephenvilleYellowJackets.com.

Here is the rundown of Nowak’s accomplishments in comparison to the yardage compilers ever at Stephenville, including a look at his all-purpose yards, a record not published on the website, but one that very likely could be assumed to belong to Nowak.

His eighth pass attempt Friday will be the 600th of his caeer, and with 11 completions he will have 350 as a Yellow Jakcket. He is 75 completions from being third in school history and 122 attempts from being third in that category.
