Graveside Services for Floyd will be held at 10:30 A.M. on October the 7th at Barbee Cemetery Chapel.
Floyd B. Funderburg, Jr., age 83, has passed away on October 4, 2017. He was born on March 17, 1934 in Aspermont, Texas to his parents, Floyd Benjamin Funderburg, Sr. and Myrtle Elizabeth (Lawhon) Funderburg.
Floyd married Truly West on September 10, 1953 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Together they raised five daughters. Floyd was a farmer and also an airline mechanic for Southern Airways.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife – Truly, his sisters – Loretta and Mary Lois, and his brother – Harvey.
Floyd will be remembered by his daughters and their husbands – Linda & Randall Aaron of Runaway Bay, Texas, Betty Snyder & Howard Nelson of Mineral Wells, Texas, Wanda & Richardo Moreno of Nevada, Iowa, Carolyn & Donald Meece of Millsap, Texas, and Patricia & Jason Meeks of Mineral Wells, Texas; his grandsons and their wives – Jeremy Self & Jana, Benjamin Aaron & Ashley, Matthew Aaron & Cecilia, Chad Meece & Shawna, Justin Aaron, Richardo Moreno, and AJ Meeks; his grandaughters – Sara Barnett, Felicia Moreno, and Ashley Fox & Gary; 16 Great Grandchildren and one more due in November; his sister – Flodene McMillian of Alexander, Texas; and many other relatives and friends who will miss him.
