AT A GLANCE
Tarleton is in the midst of a season-high six-game winning streak, with four of those wins coming on the road. The TexAnns look to stay atop the Lone Star Conference standings as they return home to take on Cameron and Midwestern State. The TexAnns face the Aggies on Friday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m. and the Mustangs on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 2 p.m.

GAME DAY PROMOTIONS
Tarleton Athletics has a variety of promotions at this weekend’s games. The office of student engagement is giving away free leis to fans as a part of Friday’s ‘Lei Out the Aggies’ night. Saturday is ‘Pink Out’ and all fans are encouraged to pack Wisdom Gym with pink attire for Breast Cancer Awareness month. Also on Saturday, admission is free for anyone who donates a canned food item upon entry to benefit the Tarleton Food Pantry.

LAST TIME OUT
The TexAnns are coming off a pair of regional wins on the road against Lubbock Christian and St. Mary’s, followed by a 5-set thriller on the road against Texas A&M-Kingsville. It was only the second time this season a match went five sets for the TexAnns.

IN THE NATIONAL SPOTLIGHT
Tarleton Volleyball continues its run as a nationally-ranked team as the TexAnns enter the weekend contests as the No. 15 team in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll. The TexAnns are the highest nationally ranked team in the Lone Star Conference. Tarleton’s first national ranking came in the final poll of the 2016 season when the TexAnns debuted at No. 25. They have been ranked in every release since – opening the season at No. 25, moving to No. 17 last week, No. 14 last week, which was the highest ranking in program history.

CHASING HISTORY: THE DRIVE FOR 2405
Hailey Roberts enters the weekend with 2,122 career kills and is on the heels of the Lone Star Conference kills record, which has been held by Central Oklahoma’s Alma Brahimaj since 2002. Brahimaj boasts 2,404 career kills during her 1999-02 tenure with the Bronchos.

SERIES HISTORY: CAMERON
Tarleton and Cameron are meeting for the 44th time in program history since the two teams first met in 1978. Cameron holds the all-time series lead, 25-19. However, the TexAnns have won 16 straight matches against the Aggies, with five of the last six wins resulting in sweeps.

SERIES HISTORY: MIDWESTERN STATE
Tarleton and Midwestern State have been playing since 1978 and Saturday will be the 57th career match between the two schools. The TexAnns hold the series lead at 31-26 and have won six straight and 12 of 13. The TexAnns have swept the last three matches against the Mustangs and are 15-6 at home against Midwestern State.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON:
The TexAnns will head to New Mexico to take on Eastern New Mexico on Friday, Oct. 13 and Western New Mexico on Saturday, Oct. 14.
