Ten straight wins: TexAnns overwhelm WNMU in latest sweep

(October 14, 2017) — No. 15 Tarleton State (17-4, 9-1) extended its win streak to 10 matches Saturday evening, blowing out Western New Mexico (5-13, 5-5) 25-22, 25-9, 25-13 sweep in Silver City, New Mexico.

Adrianna Darthuy had 15 kills, Hailey Roberts 14, Jordyn Keamo seven and Alexis Applewhite 6 for Tarleton, which hit .429 while limiting WNMU to just .083. Tarleton had 15 kills and 49 assists with just 11 errors. WNMU killed just 25 balls with 25  assists while making 17 errors.

Roberts made it a double-double with 11 digs. Adrianna Knutson dug 14 balls, Michaela Rodriguez nine and Keamo eight along with her 33 assists.

Tarleton, the sole leader in the Lone Star Conference, is back in Wisdom Gym on Tuesday at 7 p.m. for a date with Texas A&M-Kingsville.
