Wild ties course record with 4-under 68

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Casey Wild tied the Marsh Creek Country Club course record by shooting 4-under-par 68 in the final round to win the Flagler Fall Slam.

Wild, who entered Tuesday’s final round in fourth place on the individual leaderboard, carded a total score of 140 (-4) to win the tournament. Wild had a tournament-best 11 birdies – including six on the final day. It’s the lowest 36-hole score of her career and ties her lowest 18-hole score, which she also accomplished in 2016 as a sophomore. It’s Wild’s first title of her senior season.

Wild’s average scoring by hole was 2.88 (-1) on Par 3s, even par on Par 4s, and 4.63 (-3) on Par 5s, all of which ranked in the top four of all players in the tournament.

Wild’s performance helped the TexAnns move up two spots on the team leaderboard and finish in fifth place with a score of 302-295—597 (+21). Barry won the tournament with a 585 (+9).

Junie Khaw moved up 12 spots on the leaderboard to finish tied for 11th after shooting even par on the final day. Khaw had rounds of 75-72 for a score of 147 (+3). The freshman led the TexAnns with 25 pars.

Sarah Gee had the biggest jump of the day, moving up 15 spots to finish tied for 31st with a score of 152 (+8). Gee had rounds of 78 and 74 that featured 24 pars in the tournament.

Casey Leatherman tied for 55th with a 158 (+14) and Breanna Smith tied for 72nd with a 164 (+20).

The Flagler Fall Slam was the final tournament of the fall season.
