Horace Dale Reed, 87, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2017. He was born in Dublin on September 23, 2017 to his parents, James Madison Reed and Eula (Brown) Reed.
Horace worked as a farmer and gardener as well as a general laborer for the local peanut mill. He married Melba Jean Patton on September 29, 1962 in Dublin. Together they raised one son, Stephen Dale, and one daughter, Rajeania Sue. Horace was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church in Dublin.
He will be remembered by his wife – Melba Reed of Dublin, Texas; his son and daughter-in-law; Stephen Dale & Sherri Reed of Dublin, Texas; his daughter and son-in-law; Rajeania Sue & James Yoho of Dublin, Texas; his four granddaughters – Renee, Susan, Lisa & Jodi; eight great-grandchildren – Elizabeth, Madison, Taylor, Jory, Khloey, Brittnay, Hayden, Ava, and one on the way, Adalyn; his brother – Hubert Reed of DFW; his sister – Darnella Haines of Ohio; and numerous other relatives who will miss him.
Memorials to the Building Fund of Calvary Pentecostal Church or charity of choice, in honor of Horace, will be greatly appreciated by the family.
