GAGE GRAHAM, Stephenville, WR/DB/RS

Gage Graham caught two passes from Easton Jones and turned them both into touchdowns, fumbling and recovering the first for what is officially scored a fumble recovery score. But Graham didn’t stop there in making the win over Snyder an easy one. He helped the Jackets begin two drives around midfield with big kickoff and punt returns, and that was eve with penalties on a couple big ones. And all he did on defense was make eight tackles out of the defensive backfield. Graham has developed into a modern day iron man for the Yellow Jackets and will be an integral piece to the game plan this Friday when they battle Abilene Wylie for the outright championship in District 3-4A Division I.

JAYDI GRIFFIN, Stephenville, Middle Blocker

Jaydi Griffin is going to be a star. Those who didn’t know already could surely see that in the bi-district playoff loss Stephenville suffered against Kennedale on Halloween Tuesday, yes? If not, what are you looking for? Griffin did everything in her power the opening two sets to help set up a sweep, with the Bees winning those 25-11 and 25-14. Even after Kennedale won the third and the fourth, it was Griffin who gave Stephenville its last lead of the match with a kill for a 9-8 edge. Kennedale ended up winning, but think about next season, when the Bees have Jayci Morton, Griffin, Salette Rios and Chloe Goodman all back, three of them as senior leaders and Griffin having a your of experience on top of all that height. Whoever takes over the Honeybee program will be thankful to inherit that group of hitters, for sure.
