Stephenville – Graveside service for Marshall Lane Shelton, 89, Manager at the City of Stephenville, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2017, at West End Cemetery with Howard Martin officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2017, at Lacy Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.
Marshall was born in Tahoka, Texas on October 10, 1928 to Sanford and Lena Mae Shelton. Marshall married Bonnie June Godwin on September 1, 1951, in Lubbock, Texas. She preceded him in death on April 4, 2009. Marshall married Shirley, in Amarillo, Texas
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Stephenville, Texas. He was also a member of the rotary club. He was a veteran of the Navy.
Survivors include his wife Shirley Shelton, Amarillo, Texas; son Mike Shelton and wife Irene, Rio Rancho, New Mexico; grandchildren Brendon, Danielle and Jace Shelton.
