Texans return to court against Rattlers

THE GAME
Tarleton men’s basketball will take on St. Mary’s in a non-conference matchup on Saturday, November 25 at 4 p.m. in Wisdom Gym.

THE BROADCAST
Each game will have a live radio broadcast presented by the Tarleton Sports Network presented by North Texas Ford Dealers. The Voice of the Texans, Byron Anderson, will be calling the play-by-play for Tarleton basketball this season. The radio broadcast can be heard on KTRL 90.5 FM in Stephenville and surrounding areas or online at TarletonSports.com/ListenLive.

BLACK FRIDAY DEALS ON A SATURDAY:
Saturday’s game day promotion will have a drawing for Black Friday giveaway items at every media timeout throughout the game.

ABOUT THE RATTLERS:
St. Mary’s is 1-4 on the year with its lone victory coming against Wisconsin-Parkside, 61-58. The Rattlers are averaging 62.6 points while giving up 69 points per game. STMU shoots 39 pecent from the floor and 24 percent on 3-pointers. STMU is led by Petar Radojicic’s 13.8 points and 8.8 rebounds. Radojicic is the only Rattler to average double figures in scoring.

THE SERIES: ST. MARY’S:
Tarleton and St. Mary’s are meeting for the 17th time in program history since they first played in 1999. The Texans hold the all-time series lead, 12-4. Tarleton has won three straight against the Rattlers. The Texans are a perfect 11-0 at home and haven’t lost to the Rattlers since 2006 in San Antonio.

NATIONAL RANKINGS:
Tarleton received 10 votes in the first National Association of Basketball Coaches poll of the season. The Texans have been nationally ranked in each of the last four seasons.

LAST TIME OUT:
Tarleton fell at home to Central Oklahoma, 71-63. The Texans were led by Josh Hawley’s 16 points and nine rebounds.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON:
The Texans will open Lone Star Conference play on the road against Midwestern State on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m. in Wichita Falls.
