STEPHENVILLE (November 28, 2017) — With the holiday season approaching, Tarleton State University’s Staff Council plans its 24th Annual Holiday Arts & Crafts Showcase to support local businesses and artisans on Friday, Dec. 8.

Shoppers should note the Holiday Showcase’s new location this year. Hosted in the Recreational Sports Center on Rome Avenue on the Stephenville campus, the showcase is open to shoppers from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.

This year’s event offers a chance to shop favorite returning vendors as well as new ones. More than 60 multi-talented vendors will sell a variety of arts, crafts and tasty treats.

According to Desa Rowe, chair of Tarleton Staff Council’s Holiday Showcase committee, holiday shoppers will find a variety of fare, including woodcrafts, handmade craft items, food, clothing, jewelry, vinyl decals, wreaths, books and fine art. There will be plenty of unique gifts to help complete your holiday shopping list.

“We have one of the highest vendor turnouts projected this year,” Rowe said. “We invite Tarleton faculty, staff, students and the local community to come out and support these area artisans and business owners.”

The annual event supports the employee scholarships and grants program.
