Debra Raye Baker, born May 15, 1953 to parents Nelson and Joyce (Johnson) Ables in Hico, Texas, passed away December 1, 2017 at age 64 in Hico. Debra also known as Debbie and Meme to her grandchildren, was a graduate of RL Turner High School, loved spending time with her family and friends and spending time at the ocean. Preceding Debbie In death are her husband Bob Baker, mother Joy Hornbeak, step-dad Maxi Hornbeak, father Nelson Ables, grandparents Hubert and Bertie Johnson, Daphne and Murriel Ables. Surviving Debbie daughters, Lola Evans, Amanda Baker, Joy Ables, granddaughters Baily Ables, Kori Young, grandsons, Dylon Shockley, Braden Ables, and Hudson Evans, great granddaughter Amaya Ables. Debbie is also survived by sisters Darlene Ables, Diana Ables-Powers.
Service Information
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, at the Harvest Hills Funeral Home in Hico. Graveside Services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 3 in the Black Family Cemetery in Hico.
