Dear Editor and Readers of The Flash,
“Absolute power corrupts absolutely”
It is the best-known quotation of the 19th-century British politician, Lord Acton, who expressed the thought in 1887.
I think Dr. Cross was expressing this view in his opinion piece “…And Justice for All”.
I believe that a “choke point” to opportunity has developed in media, cinema, politics, employment etc. which is being exploited and abused by those in power for their own advantage.
I call it “THE CASTING COUCH” of favourable treatment….immediate or future.
The line between OPPORTUNITY and OPPORTUNISM is wafer thin.
