Bernice “MeMa” Holder Larner

(October 12, 1918 – December 16, 2017)

Bernice “MeMa” Holder Larner, 99, of Morgan Mill, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 16, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 19th at Morgan Mill Baptist Church with Joe Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Mill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Bernice was born at Halsell, Texas to Nathan Bernie Holder and Hannah LaUna Nelson Holder. She graduated from Lipan High School. Bernice married the love of her life, Brice Alexander “B. A.” Larner on September 30, 1939. They had 51 years together before he passed away on March 11, 1991.

Bernice was the cook at Morgan Mill School, a charter member of the Morgan Mill Arts and Crafts Assn., where she shared her pound cakes, wilke cookies, jellies, and baby pillows. She was a member of the Morgan Mill Baptist Church and was the pianist for many years. She loved her Lord and always shared his love and message with others. She was a prayer warrior for all of her family who she loved.

Bernice is survived by 2 daughters, Linda and husband Carroll Elston of Morgan Mill and Sandra and husband Mack Elston of Morgan Mill; and Richard Reynolds and wife Annenda of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, who was considered their son; 6 grandsons and wives; 16 great grandchildren and spouses, 10 great great grandchildren, and many others who claimed her as their ‘other mother” or “MeMa”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Lonnie Floys Holder, and her husband, B. A. Larner.

In lieu of flowers the Larner family wishes expressions of sympathy be make in the form of donations to the Morgan Mill Baptist Church Benevolence fund or Gideons International.
