On Sunday, December 17, 2017, Seth Lamar Turner went to be with the Lord.  He was born July 27, 1928 in Coryell County, Texas to his parents Charles Edgar Turner and Bessie Melvina (Thompson) Turner. He attended Gatesville High School.

Seth, along with his mother and father, were involved in raising Shorthorn cattle. In 1949, Seth exhibited the Grand Champion steer at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.

Seth married Virginia Ruth (Crouch) Turner in Fort Worth, Texas, on December 23rd of 1956. They were together until Virginia’s passing on February 12, 2009.

Seth served in the military and in Korea from 1950 to 1953. He moved to Dublin in 1954 and purchased the Central Inn Motel, where he operated it for 63 years. He did this quietly and compassionately.

He was a member of the Dublin Rotary Club, Lions Club, and the Dublin Chamber of Commerce. He attended The Cowboy Church of Erath County, in Stephenville, Texas.

He will be remembered by his son and daughter-in-law – Charles & Joellyn Turner of Dublin, Texas; his granddaughter – Audrey & Mason Cook of Pleasanton, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorials in honor of Seth can be made to the Cowboy Church of Erath County in Stephenville, Texas.
