STEPHENVILLE (December 18, 2017) – Tarleton women’s basketball scored a season-high 104 points in a 104-52 rout over Arlington Baptist on Tuesday in Wisdom Gym.

13 players scored for the TexAnns and it’s the most points scored since 2014 when they scored 114 in a win over Texas College.

Mackenzie Hailey recorded her third double-double of the season, posting a game-high 18 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Katie Webster also scored in double figures with 14 points.

The TexAnns (6-5) dished out a season-high 34 assists which led to shooting 59 percent from the floor and 59 percent on 3-pointers (10 of 17). Eight TexAnns had at least two assists, led by Nina Alvarez’s career-high eight assists.

It’s the second time this season Tarleton made at least 10 3-pointers in a game, both resulting in wins. Tiara Tatum made all three of her 3-point attempts, finishing with nine points and five assists. McKinley Bostad also scored nine points and had three assists, while Kylie Collins added four points and five assists.

The TexAnns never trailed in the game, scoring at least 24 points in every quarter. Tarleton led 28-11 after the first quarter and 53-25 at half time.

With the game well out of reach in the second half, the TexAnns spread out the minutes. Tarleton’s bench provided a season-high 50 points in the win, led by Makaila Tyer’s eight points.

Tarleton opened the second half on a 17-2 run to stretch its lead to 70-27 and led by as much as 54 points.

The TexAnns also had their best performance on the defensive end, out rebounding Arlington Baptist 53-28 and holding the Patriots to 27 percent shooting. The TexAnns also blocked a season-high 11 shots.

Trejouir Wilson, Lucy Benson and Hannah Allen each scored seven points off the bench, with Benson leading the rebounding efforts with a career-high seven boards. Deziray Turner and Haley Fieseler both had career highs in scoring with six points apiece. Bayle Peck added five points and Shelby Mankins scored four.

Tarleton will take on Southeastern Oklahoma on Saturday, Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. in Wisdom Gym.
