Billy Fred ‘Bill’ Jones, 84, of Stephenville, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018, in Stephenville.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 7th at West End Cemetery with Darrell Wallace officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Saturday at Stephenville Funeral Home.
Bill was born on February 24, 1933, in Dublin to the late Reverend B. F. and Leona Rogers Jones. He married Oneta Broadway on December 25, 1952 in Dublin. Bill and Oneta celebrated 65 years of marriage together on December 25, 2017. Bill served his country in the U. S. Air Force. He was a member of the First Congregational Methodist Church and a lifelong resident of Erath County. Bill spent most of his life in the automotive body repair business. He retired after more than 20 years as Manager of the Body Shop at Bruner Motors.
Bill is survived by his wife, Oneta; daughter Deena and husband David Ogle of Hico and their children, Nathan and wife Brandy Ogle, and their son Dalton, Nolan and his wife Cheyenne Ogle, and their children Garlon and Gracie, and Kirsha and husband Trenton Hunt and their children Kaylee, Tyler, Tayton, Tandyn, and Kynlee; son Kevin and wife LeAnn Jones of Stephenville and their son, Jordan; daughter Kay and husband Tracy Wilcoxon of Stephenville and their children Krista and husband Barrett Hutchison and their children Holt and Hayes and Chase and wife Laura Wilcoxon and their son Luke; and daughter Linda and husband Mike Moncrief of Stephenville and their children Mikka and husband B. J. Hill and their children Hudson and Brylie and Macy and husband Kyle Tanner. He also is survived by his sister Neita Daughtrey of Granbury and his brother Dean Jones of Stephenville.
Bill loved spending time on the water with family and friends fishing and skiing. We have great memories of eating PaPa’s fried fish.
