Fern, 84, was born in Ekalaka, Montana on May 12, 1933 to Elsie (Kortum) and Willie Rose. She married George Smith on July 12, 1952, in Oakley, California.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-five years, George Smith of Granbury, Texas; her son, Kenneth Smith and wife Ann of Granbury, Texas; four grandchildren, Mathew Smith, Jessica Bullerman, Ashley Hogue, and Bradley Smith; and four great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son Randal Smith, 2013.
