Johnston scores four as Bees sting Springtown repeatedly

(January 26, 2018) — Stephenville walloped Springtown in a 7-0 girls soccer shutout Friday evening at beautiful Porcupine Stadium.

Ciara Johnston put a four-goal Friday performance on top of her Tuesday brace, giving the sophomore forward six goals in a two-match week.  Gracie Bales assisted Johnston on the first two goals to begin the blowout, Alexis De los Santos helped her make it 3-0 and Natalie Elizondo set her up for goal five.

Emily Kirbo found the net between the third and fourth Johnston goals, making it f4-0 with help from Bailey … Karsyn Kmrbough assisted Claire Choate to make it 6-0 and Bales notched a third assist, this one to De los Santos to finish the scoring.

The Bees outscored their opponents this week 15-0, having applied a similar stinging to Alvarado at Lem Brock Field on Tuesday. They have a full week before their next match Friday, February 2.
