In the 1990s, Michal Read emigrated from South Africa to Israel where she lived and studied for almost a decade. It was there that she became part of the Karaite faith. In 2001, she immigrated to the United States and settled in Hico, TX. Michal is preceded in death by both parents, but is survived by her former in-laws, Scooter and Patricia Tankersley, who loved her dearly and provided her with a family.
Service Information
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, at the Harvest Hills Funeral Home in Hico. Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31, in the Millerville Cemetery in Hico.
