(February 3, 2018) — Stephenville made it three straight shutouts and three straight runaways since being disappointed with being relegated to a consolation title in its home Challenge of Champions.

Graham was the latest victim in row for the reigning 4A champions, whose side sailed to a 6-0 win, three of those goals provided by Ciara Johnston, a sophomore striker with nine goals alone in the three-match span that also includes routs of Alvarado and Springtown. Burkburnett, which has been an annual doormat for Stephenville to rule over in recent seasons, including in the first round of the championship table last weekend, will be in town Tuesday seeking vengeance at Lem Brock Field beginning at 6 p.m. That and a Friday trip to China Spring are all that remain before the the Bees start their district season on February 9 against Mineral Wells, also on the home pitch.

Johnston put it out of reach Friday with the first third and fourth goal. Classmate Gracie Bales put the second goal home. Claire Choate and Haleigh Beam finished the goal count. Beam, Chaney Carillo, Choate, Bales, Johnston and Choate again were responsible for the assists.
