Tarleton’s Steed receives Texas Health’s J. Andy Thompson Award

STEPHENVILLE (February 23, 2018) — Dr. Steve Steed, dean of Tarleton State University’s College of Business Administration, has received the Texas Health Resources J. Andy Thompson Award.

Steed, who has given 17 years of dedicated service to the Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville board, has been a tireless advocate for the hospital and helped to spearhead philanthropic efforts in the community to construct the Terrell Family Emergency Center. He also served as board chair from 2011-2014.

Steed has been very active in the Stephenville community for more than 40 years and has volunteered his time and talent with the Tarleton Texan Club and the Stephenville Optimist Club.

Steed joined the Tarleton faculty in 1971, and was named dean of the College of Business Administration in 2015. That same year, he received the COBA Impact Award, recognizing his leadership, selflessness and many years of service in the community.
