SHS Stingerettes Win State Grand Champion at Contest

STEPHENVILLE (March 1, 2018)– The Stephenville Stingerettes left their mark at the 2018 Danceline Productions USA’s Classic State Championship last weekend. The dancers competed in 22 different routines and earned 30 awards, including 1st place State Grand Champion in the large varsity class one team division.

Awards are as follows:

  • Division 1 rating in high school solos: Blake Been 1, Blake Been 2, Alex Cameron, Myla Childers, Kassidy Cowles, Tara Garza, Maria Nelson, Grace Rogers, Bailey Sanderford and Mason Warren.
  • Division 1 rating in high school duets: Tara Garza and Sydney Russell, and Kailei Pritchard and Mattie Stephens.
  • Division 1 rating in high school small ensembles: Mackenzie Ansley, Blake Been, Alex Cameron and Kassle Pack; Tyra Boudreaux, Claira Caskey, Sara Ratliff and Bailey Sanderford; Chloe Brinkerhoff, Myla Childers, Sammie Dewberry and Sara Ratliff; Kassidy Cowles, Macy Hall, Adriana Moreno, Kassle Pack and Rebecca Tuggle
  • Sweepstakes: the officer team
  • Platinum sweepstakes: the varsity team
  • AJC Recognition of Excellence Award: Kassle Pack
  • Top 5 finalist in toe touch technique challenge: Diandra Tejada
  • Top 5 finalists in high kick technique challenge: Blake Been and Kassidy Cowles
  • 3rd place high kick: Kassidy Cowles
  • 3rd place best in division high school ensembles: Mackenzie Ansley, Blake Been, Alex Cameron and Kassle Pack
  • 2nd place best in division high school small ensembles: Tyra Boudreaux, Claira Caskey, Sara Ratliff and Bailey Sanderford
  • 1st place best in category: large varsity class one team kick, large varsity class one team contemporary and large varsity class one team production
  • Congeniality award
  • 1st place grand champion: large varsity class one team
