TARLETON STATE (March 3, 2018) – Tarleton hosted its largest Texan Tour yet. Texan Tour is a campus preview day for prospective students to learn about the departments and organizations at Tarleton and visit with current students, faculty, and staff.

After checking in and attending the Academic Fair in the Campus Recreation Center, students and their guests filed into the Wisdom Gymnasium to be welcomed by University President Dr. F. Dominic Dottavio.

“We take your success very very seriously, “ Dottavio said. “We hope to see you four years from now walking across that stage.”

The rest of the day varied per student, as there were many different fairs, tours, and information sessions available throughout the day. Some took the campus tour, starting at the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center, while others wanted to see what type of rooms are available in each Residence Hall. There were five  Residence Halls with showrooms for students and their guests to walk through.

Students could pay for a meal ticket for themselves and each guest to eat lunch at their assigned time in the Dining Hall. Students were invited to stop at the College Farm or Southwest Regional Dairy Center on their way out of town if they so desired.
