STEPHENVILLE (March 7, 2018) — Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow (ACT), a student agricultural advocacy organization at Tarleton State University, hosts the second Farm to Fork Trail and Fun Run on Saturday, March 10.

The event is for runners of all ages and levels who’d like to learn more about agriculture while running through the college farm. Before and after the race, participants can learn more about the industry responsible for feeding and clothing the world.

Prizes will be awarded to division winners, and all participants will receive breakfast at the end of the race.

“The race is an opportunity to experience agriculture at the college farm,” said Chandra Andrew, advisor for Tarleton ACT. “The idea of the race is to provide an exciting opportunity for families, students and runners to learn about agriculture while getting their exercise. What better place to hold the race than at our college farm and end it with breakfast? It brings the idea of ‘farm to fork’ full circle.”

Proceeds for the event go to Tarleton ACT to help students attend professional conferences and enhance skills they will need in their careers.

Race-day registration begins at 7:45 a.m. at the Tarleton Agricultural Mechanics Building (college farm) located the intersection of FM 8 and County Road 518. The trail run begins at 9 a.m. followed by the fun run.
