STEPHENVILLE (April 6, 2018) — Tarleton State University’s third Giving Day kicks off at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, challenging participants to pay it forward for students.

“Giving Day is a way for the entire university family—alumni, students, parents and friends—to show support for Tarleton,” said Development Director Jennifer Hawthorne. “Gifts of any size are tax-deductible and can be designated for any Tarleton college, scholarship, program or organization.”

Last year’s Giving Day brought in more than $225,000, surpassing the 2016 total by $84,000.

To donate online, go to https://givingday.tarleton.edu between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. To give in person, stop by the Administration Building on the Stephenville campus from 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Donations also can be dropped off at Tarleton’s outreach locations in Fort Worth, Midlothian and Waco.

“Giving Day is an exciting 24 hours for Tarleton,” Hawthorne said. “It’s a great way to build community and student support through scholarships and programming.”
