Robert “Bob” Windell Holland

Memorial services for Bob Holland, 80, Retired Combat Soldier in the Army, will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.

Bob was born in Canyon, Texas on July 29, 1937 to William and Ruby (Lain) Holland. He married Raye (Trotter) Holland on January 4, 1964, in Fort Hood, Texas.

Bob was a veteran of the Army and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars; The Purple Heart; Combat Infantryman Badge; Army Commendation Medal with 1st Oak Leaf Cluster; Republic of Vietnam Campaign with 60 Device; Bronze Star Medal; Good Conduct Medal Clasp, Bronze 5 Loops; and the Sharpshooter Badge for Rifle. Bob was also a member of the VFW.

Survivors include his wife, Raye Holland; three children, Windell Holland of Amarillo, Texas, Crystal Nelson of Denton, Texas, and Fawn Holland of Stephenville, Texas; three grandchildren, Ethan Ramirez of San Marcos, Texas, Elijah Nelson of San Marcos, Texas, and Tyler Nelson of Denton, Texas; a brother, Jon Holland of Amarillo, Texas; and three sisters, Marylyn Norman of Fort Worth, Texas, Sharon Reeder of Crowley, Texas and Yvonne Carver of Fort Worth, Texas.

Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.
