Letters to the Editor

Stephenville is a growing town, and we have an OLD high school building that has been stretched to its full capacity.  It’s outdated.  Our gym is an embarrassment, mainly because much smaller towns have much, much better gyms.  I wonder what they think about Stephenville when they come here to play sports; it’s not the best of advertising for our City.   The schools have opportunities to offer more courses to students, if only they had the space in which to teach those courses.    And we haven’t even touched on the need for more security for the kiddos.

My father in law used to tell us that his kids’ educations were paid for by other people’s taxes; he felt as though he should “pay it forward”.  And that is exactly where we are.

It’s time to pony up.  It is totally for the kids, their futures and ultimately ours.

Thank you for your consideration of this critical bond election.
