STEPHENVILLE – Tarleton’s Conner Fletcher hurled seven innings of one-run baseball to lift the Texans past No. 6 West Texas A&M Friday afternoon.
The senior sidearmer tossed seven innings of one-run baseball against the Buffs while striking out a career-high 12 and allowing only two hits. Fletcher handed West Texas A&M its first conference loss of the season to begin a series split.
It’s the first career weekly award for Fletcher and the second straight week that a Texan pitcher has earned the weekly honor, joining last week’s recipient Connor Flanagan.
Tarleton will head to Lawton, Oklahoma next weekend for the final regular season series of the season against Cameron. The series begins Friday at 7:30 p.m.
