Addie Lee Koonsman, 96, passed away Monday, June 4, 2018 in Hamilton, TX.

Service: 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 8 at Hico First Baptist Church. Visitation:6-8 p.m. Thursday at Harvest Hills Funeral Home.

Addie Lee was born August 17, 1921 to Nep and Jessie Connally, and was the youngest of six children. She married Hugh Koonsman, May 28, 1938 in Stephenville, TX. To this union, three adventurous sons were born: Harlon, Ron, and Tony.

Addie was a partner with Hugh in ranching, raising cattle, and whatever needed to be done. She earned her LVN certification and worked in the nursing field for many years. She served as a nurse in the Hico and Stephenville hospitals. Addie will be remembered for her hard work and dedication for any task in which she was faced.

Addie loved her family and was always happy to have them visit with her. She loved to fish, crochet, garden, play bingo, read, and work in her word find puzzle books.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh, her son, Tony, sisters, Peg Griffitts, Madge Ogle, Nell Ogle, Edna Adams, and brother, Bud Connally.

Survivors are: Sons, Harlon Koonsman, (Linda), Ron Koonsman, (Ann);
Grandchildren: Toby Koonsman, Kristi Davis, Gabe Koonsman, (Kelly), Brandon Koonsman, (Amy), and Laney Koonsman
Great Grandchildren: Ethan Koonsman, (Amenda), Abby Davis, Parker Koonsman, Hudson Koonsman, and Griffin Koonsman
Great Great Grandchild: Addelyn Koonsman

Service Information

Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, at Harvest Hills Funeral Home in Hico. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, at the First Baptist Church of Hico with burial to follow in the Duffau Cemetery.
