ERATH COUNTY (June 5, 2018) – Someone once said, “Without growth, the journey to success is pointless. Growth is never by chance, but the result of forces working together for something better.”

As The Flash Today continues to grow, we are excited to announce some changes to our staff and the promotion of one of our own. Rachel Snyder, who was Rachel Tuggle until she married Storm Snyder in 2017, graduated Summa cum Laude from Tarleton State this May has taken on the role of News Editor for The Flash in Erath County.

“We were lucky enough to have Rachel start this journey with us and we’re so pleased to have her continue with us after her graduation,” publisher Jessie Horton said. “Rachel knows grew up here and really knows the people and this community. She’s a great fit for The Flash.”

Snyder, also a graduate of Stephenville High School, has worked for The Flash since its beginning in 2014. First, serving as a high school reporter, before getting promoted to full-time reporter shortly after graduating from SHS as valedictorian in May 2015. Now, with a bachelor’s of arts in English with an emphasis on technical writing from Tarleton State, she is ready to take over the day-to-day news staff and will be in the office from noon until 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday each week. Snyder also completed minors in both Spanish and Communications and was a Presidential Honors Grad.

“I’m so excited to be in this new role at The Flash,” Snyder said. “It’s been a great four years so far, and I’m looking forward to continuing to bring you your local news each day. We also have some new exciting projects in the works, so be sure to “tune in” as those get started!”
