Louis L. Weible, 90, of Stephenville, died Saturday, June 9, 2018 in Stephenville.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 13th at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church with Father Matthew Sanka officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. A Rosary service will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel, and following the Rosary, visitation with the Weible family will continue until 8:00 PM

Louis was born on August 7, 1927 in Havana Kansas to the late Lee and Ethelean Brogan Weible. He married Wanda Hanes on August 10, 1948 in Coffeyville, Kansas. Louis served his country during WWII in the U. S. Navy. During his early career, he was a draftsman with an oil field exploration company, and spent several years before his retirement as a restaurant owner. Louis was an active member of St. Brendan’s Catholic Church for over 45 years. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus, he loved to play golf and spent a lot of his spare time woodworking. Louis and Wanda moved to Stephenville in 1973.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda; son, Gregory and wife Linda Weible and their children, Josh Weible and Kerry Weible; son, Clifford and wife Sheran Weible and their children, daughter, Wendy and husband Jerry Bye and great grandchildren, Michael and Bryce; daughter, Stacy and husband Nick Torres and great grandchildren, Pierce and Jace; son, Heath Allen and great grandchild, Cadian; Louis’ daughter, Linda and husband Steve Peacock and their children, daughter, Stephanie and husband Michael Beach, and great grandchildren, Grant and Regan; and son, Bryan Peacock; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Louis was also preceded in death by a sister, Marie Poplawski and a brother, Paul Weible.

  1. So sorry to hear of this! It was an absolute joy knowing Louis and Wanda…. always put a smile on my face seeing them walk in the door of St. Brendans! Wanda Im so sorry I was not there to celebrate his life Tues. at Rosary and Wed. at the service but I have just today become aware of his passing today (after funeral). I will be praying for you and your peace.
