Weldon H. Wilson, 65, of Stephenville, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, June 30th at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Jay Pemberton officiating. Inurnment will be held at Grantham Cemetery in Palo Pinto County. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, June 29th at the funeral home.

Weldon was born on September 5, 1952 Odessa, Texas to Herschel Keith Wilson and Carley Flo Thiebaud Wilson. He married Renee Pemberton on June 25, 2005 in Stephenville. Weldon devoted his life to law enforcement starting as a police officer with the Stephenville Police Dept. He later served as a Constable for Erath County and also as a Deputy with the Erath County Sheriff’s Office. While working for Erath County, Weldon started the pretrial department. He has resided in Stephenville since 1986 and was a member of the Valley Grove Baptist Church. Weldon was an avid fisherman.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Renee Pemberton Wilson of Stephenville; daughters, Crystal Adams and husband Tim of Oklahoma City, Ok, Brandy Barnes and husband Danny of Stephenville, and Tawana Ensminger of Colorado; sons, Chance Ensminger and wife Mindy of Huckabay, and Dakota Mathis of Stephenville; his mother, Carley Flo Wilson of Arkansas; sister, Lynette Gore and husband Tommy of Arkansas, and Cynthia Wilson-Cooper and husband Lee of Oklahoma; brother, Johnny Gardner and Melinda of Huckabay, and Eddie Halbert and wife Aletta of Stephenville; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and two very special sister in laws.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herschel Keith Wilson; and a brother, Wade Walter Wilson.
